Having spent her childhood surrounded by classic monster coloring books and playsets complete with glow-in-the-dark ghosts, Katherine Gilbert comes by her adoration of the weird and supernatural honestly. Now far away from the antebellum home she grew up in, one many people wisely refused to enter, she’s happy to focus on a wackier brand of paranormal adventures in her More in Heaven and Earth books. When she’s not teaching at a South Carolina community college, she’s pondering her next trip with her sister and friends to another odd, gothic spot or finding a glorious Victorian cemetery to explore.
